Scrapbooking.
Politics.
You wouldn't think that the two would have anything to do with one another, would you? But unfortunately, there are a lot of politics in scrapbooking.
There's also a lot of complaining. And witch-i-ness. And women just being downright MEAN to one another. Calling people names. Pulling products from their scrapbook stores.
I don't get it at all. I don't want to be a part of all that. I scrapbook because I love to do it.
I try not to get caught up in the politics. I don't really buy any magazines any more. I don't enter any of the contests. My goal of being published has been put on the back burner. God forbid I become the next "scapegoat." It seems like the scrapbooking community is always on the lookout for a new scapegoat.
I scrapbook for me. And only me. I don't want to have to follow any "rules." I don't want the drama or the catty nature of women. I just want to create.

Amen to that Sista!! I think the politics is a bunch of crapola!! Honestly, can't those catty women just enjoy what they do and leave everyone else alone!??!!
Wow! I had no idea any of that was going on. I've been in such a work bubble lately that I haven't been on any scrapbook sites lately. Hopped on some today to see what all the fuss was about. Wowsa! Craziness!
Have to say I was not aware of any of this. That being said ~ scrap for you and only you...and have a wonderful time tomorrow. Will be thinking of you hostess : - )!
