thoughts for the day

:: Oh, The Bachelor...that blonde girl was so insane! She didn't hear a word Brad was trying to say to her! So many tears. Oi! My money is on Jenni, the Phoenix Suns dancer.

:: Got my nails done this evening...

:: Work was a bit crazy today...my co-worker and friend decided he needed to go to the ER because he was feeling "tingly" and like he might pass out. They ruled out heart attack and stroke, and tested for a bunch of other stuff. All of which came back fine. They decided it was probably a combination of work stress, anxiety about his wife's health, poor eating habits, not enough sleep, too much caffeine, and it all just caught up with him. I hope that he'll be okay.

:: I got another scrapbook page done last night, and am almost finished with a 2-page spread. I am on a roll!

:: Tonight, I cracked open a pomegranate and we enjoyed some for dessert. I have never actually opened one myself, and thankfully there was a step-by-step diagram hanging above them in the grocery store!! :) They were delicious. Aspen's first comment was "Ew...what are you eating? Are they gross??" Yes, I make a habit of eating nasty stuff. She tasted one and decided that it was pretty tasty.

:: Pretty chilly here today, all day. We've been having chilly mornings that warm up in the afternoons, but today was the first that's been chilly all day. So crisp. I'm loving it.

:: This Friday is our Employee Luncheon at work...there will be a Halloween costume contest and a pumpkin carving/decorating contest. It's always interesting to see what people dress up as. I personally don't dress up...Halloween just isn't one of my favorite holidays to take part in. But it's always a fun day.

:: Saturday is our last soccer game of the season. It will be the game to determine the first place team in our division. Assassins against Ice. Who will it be? The winner will get to go to the Tournament of Champions in December.

:: Saturday is also basketball tryouts for Aspen...that will determine which team she'll be on, and then I'm sure twice-a-week practices will be starting. Those on top of her D.I. (Destination Imagination) practices each week, and she'll be a busy girl.

:: Okay, need to take care of a few things, and then to bed I go!
