perfection

Oh, what a glorious weekend I had!!

Friday: As I mentioned, I was off work and that was marvelous!! It was quite a packed day though, so not very relaxing. Dropped Ocho at the vet, went to have my yearly eye exam, got Aspen's eyes checked, took her to school, had lunch with Chris, picked Ocho up from the vet, the painter came and put the first coat of paint on our front door, and picked Aspen up from a basketball game at 5:00. In between all of that stuff, I worked on designing our 2007 Christmas card. Got it all done and sent off to Winkflash for printing. They should be delivered later this coming week, and then out they go! Chris got home from work around 6:30, and then he and I went to dinner at Carinos. My calamari and potato soup were delicous. We stopped at the book store, and I bought the remaining 3 books to the series I'm reading. The first was "Big Stone Gap" by Adriana Trigiani, and now I'm on to the second one in the series: "Big Cherry Holler."

Saturday: I must say this was one of the best days I've had in a long time. Chris got up early and was out for a 20 mile run by 7:00 am. I got up early and made him some blueberry muffins, his favorite. I knew he'd be hungry after his run, and I left him warm for him with a sweet card. Then off I went to the monthly crop at Kim's house. What fun!! All I took with me was my laptop with our wedding photos, and a blank notebook. Worked all day on getting our wedding scrapbook organized, layouts decided, photo sizes determined. I was able to get 48 pages determined, and I am not even to the ceremony yet. It's going to be a large album, or maybe even two.

As I was driving home, I called Chris to let him know I was on my way. He informed me that when I got home, I'd have to get gussied up because we were going on a date!!! :) I was thrilled!!! We had a sweet night together and it was just really nice to spend some great quality time together. We had a delicous dinner at Outback, I devoured my steak! Yum. We had spirits and lots of food, and a great time. Then we headed to the movies, where we had planned to see "Heartbreak Kid", but the projector was broken. So we saw "Good Luck Chuck". Pretty good, but fairly raunchy for awhile. It was the best evening with my hubby!!

Sunday: Slept a litle late (but woke up earlier than a typical Sunday). Chris suggested we head to the Flea Market, and that was a nice way to spend some relaxing time together. Bought a few metal items, and that's about it. Then we meandered on down to Perini Steakhouse and had some delicious burgers. And Chris enjoyed some bread pudding in Jack Daniels sauce, which he said was heavenly.

So much goodness packed into a weekend...I'm sure you can see my smile from there!!!
