surprise

One of the best things about my hubby: he is one of the bestest "surprise gift" givers!!

Last night was bunko, and when I got home I worked on a blog post and did some reading for my book study at work. Finally, I got up to get things ready for bed...taking my contacts out, brushing my teeth, pulling down the blankets/sheets on the bed and fluffing the pillows for us to get into bed.

Suddenly, while I am pulling down the covers, Chris pops into the bedroom. And just stands there looking at me. So, I finish what I'm doing and go over to give him a big hug. While hugging, he proceeds to walk with me back over to my side of the bed.

He says to me, "You need to look at something, you've just about ruined it."

I thought, "Oh no!! What have I messed up in our new house already????"

And he flips up my two pillows (which I had just moved from on top of the covers) and I look down and laying there, under the pillows, was the new Blake Lewis cd!!

This cd just came out on the 4th...and my sweet man went to Best Buy last night after work to buy it for me, knowing that I have been looking forward to its release. How sweet is he?!!

And then I go and bust his whole plan, by not even noticing the cd under the pillow!!! I just flipped the pillows and on I went. Didn't even look. :)

He had a little note taped to it too that made me laugh. It said, "This will be the only time you'll ever find Blake Lewis in our bed. So enjoy!" Ha!

I love my man!!
