:: When I got home from work, I whipped up a new recipe for bunko Wednesday night. I was scheduled for a main dish, which is wonderful news for my clean eating!! Though the girls won't suspect a thing, the dish I am taking is completely Clean! :) And it looks yummy...it's a recipe from the Tosca Clean Eating for Family and Kids book...the Baked Ziti. I'll let you know.
:: Had a new snack today, and really thought it was delicious. Half a whole wheat pita filled with 2 tbs natural peanut butter. Then I added sliced strawberries inside, and it was just like a pbj sandwich. Only 100% clean eating! I had a stellar clean eating day today and that makes me very happy. Even with eating out at lunch...
:: Had lunch with Kim at Subway and enjoyed our time to chat. That girl keeps me entertained with all her stories, that's for sure!!!
:: This evening, Chris and I headed to the Junior High for the Open House. We picked up a copy of Aspen's schedule, and proceeded to walk the course of it in 5 minute increments. Met all of her teachers and got the gist of what her day is like. She has a double block of math, and I think that is really going to help her this year. The first block, they learn a new topic, and the entire second block is dedicated to them doing their math homework and being able to ask the teacher for any help they need. An added bonus is that a second teacher comes in during this second block to offer additional help to the kids. Hopefully this will be a big advantage for Aspen. We chose to enroll her in this double block instead of a computer class, and I do think it was the right decision.
:: We got home at 8:20, changed clothes, and headed to the park with my bike in the back. Proceeded to run/ride 10 miles. Got home at 10:20.
:: Now it is time for a quick shower and then to bed. I have to get up a little early tomorrow, it's my morning to drop Aspen off for 7:00 am cross country practice...

Sounds like a very busy evening!
I hope the double block of math will be just what Aspen needs to get the extra help. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all three of our kiddos have a great year, with lots less stress for the parents! lol
Thanks so much for lunch yesterday. I thoroughly enjoyed the time.
Looking forward to bunko tonight!
