:: Many of you know how big of a "planner" I am...and while we have yet to solidify a week for our yearly St. Louis trip, and that is driving me insane, I was able to get something else planned today. So that made me feel a bit better... :) Kim and I planned our Annual Christmas Card Photo Shoot that our families have been doing for years. I look forward to this each year, and we always get some really great photos. This year, we're going to try to do it on October 26th, and we're hoping to be able to do it outside in natural light. Now we just need to figure out what we're going to wear...
::I don't remember if I've mentioned this...for the past few years, my scrapbook group has done a retreat in February at a ranch house about 30 minutes away. It had a great big open area where we could all spread out our materials, and room to sleep about 30. The perfect location, and we've greatly enjoyed our times out there. Unfortunately, they decided to raise their prices this year, and none of us are really wanting to pay more. So we're trying to come up with an alternate plan. Only, we're not sure what that might be. A hotel conference room? Any ideas out there? If you've done something like this for a big scrapbook group, please fill me in!!
:: Still wearing my big bandage on my face...and today at work, as I walked around the whole building delivering the company's bi-monthly newsletter, I answered the same question over and over again..."what happened to your face?" And then most of them would joke, "has Chris been hitting you again?" or "I bet the other guy looks worse!"...oh they all think they're comedians! :)
:: Cooked a yummy dinner of grilled chicken breasts (soooo glad Chris taught me how to use the gas grill!) and a new recipe of sundried tomato quinoa (which was given the thumbs up by all!). Quinoa is the super grain that is filled with protein...what could be better than that? Clean eating is still going strong...I'm happy with this change in my life and know it will be how I eat for the rest of my life. My grandma was asking me all kinds of questions about the whole "diet" when I talked to her on Sunday, and I could tell she was a bit negative about the whole thing. But when I explained to her that yes, I do eat meats like chicken and lean beef, and I probably eat more food (quantity-wise) than Chris does so I am by no means starving, her tone of voice changed a bit. This isn't a diet peeps...I feel like I am practically eating all the time. I'm never hungry! So it's definitely not a diet...
:: Another funny story...this afternoon, at 3:00 on the dot, I unzipped my cooler to get out my afternoon snack of vanilla yogurt, diced apple, and Ezekial cereal topping...and my coworker Victor said, "Oh my gosh, is it 3:00 already?" This just from hearing the zipper of the cooler open. I'm a bit like clockwork, in my consistency... :)
Okay, gotta got do my workout for the evening...arms and abs tonight...
