this weekend

:: This weekend, I got some good Christmas shopping done! That makes me very happy. Still more to do, obviously, but I've made a good dent...

:: I also designed our 2008 Christmas card, and am very pleased with how it turned out! So cute! I need to check it at work on a regular monitor (color is off a lot on my flat screen at home), and then will send it on to Winkflash for printing. I also ordered some envelopes for them online. If you ever need to purchase envelopes, this site has a wide variety and good prices...

:: One week from today Chris will be running with 29,999 other crazy people in the Inaugural Rock and Roll Marathon in San Antonio...and I'll be running the streets like a crazy woman, trying to catch him at certain points! I'm sure I have said it before, but being a spectator at a marathon is pretty stressful! Especially when there are 30,000 runners with all of their spectators, and most of the roads are closed off. Makes traveling very difficult!

:: Books 3 & 4 of the Twilight series aren't scheduled to be delivered from Amazon until Wednesday the 12th!! Blah! I'm dying! :) But, my friend at work is done with the series, and she's sad that there are no more to read. So I think I will try my best to read these last two a little slower. Hang on to them as long as I can!! And then, when I get back from St. Louis, Kim and I have a movie date to go see this...can't wait!!! She has become just as "addicted" to the books as I have, and is reading them just as fast!

:: Have to schedule the rest of my vacation days for the year so they don't get wasted. Some of that time will be used on upcoming basketball games for Aspen. One is away, so we'll have to leave early to get to the location. The other three are home games, but they start at 5:00. So we'll need to leave work about a half hour early.

:: Bought a few more work items this weekend! Chris bought me a beautiful black suit jacket from Express that matches my new black skirt and my black pants. And with their "buy one get one half off" sale, I was able to get another pair of pants. Also had a $30 off coupon, so the pants ended up being about $2! :) I also decided that one pair of pants I bought was a bit too big, but had already taken them to the dry cleaners. Express said that I could still bring them back, since I had not worn them or altered them. So, woo hoo! I'm taking those back today on my way to the grocery store...

:: Speaking of which...better tend to my laundry and get started on my weekly menu and grocery list...have a great week everyone!!
