a busy day

:: One more workday for this week...and then, blessedly, I am off all next week!! I am thrilled beyond words on that one. It will be just me, and I have a ton of stuff to do. Lots of Christmas things. Looking very forward to my time...

:: Good news! After much research and debate and obsessing, I believe that Chris will be getting a new car this weekend! More details on that after the fact...I promise a photo!

:: Just finished "Nineteen Minutes" by Jodi Picoult. Pretty good story. I really enjoyed reading this one. She is a great writer, and she uses lots of different perspectives on the story. Very good, if you're looking for something to read next. The subject of the book isn't quite "happy", since it's about a shooting at a school. But I think you'll enjoy the book.

:: Had such a lovely surprise in the mail today!!! My grandma sent me a card filled with recipes! She knows I am looking for a little goodie to make for our departments at work for Christmas, so she sent along a few that she thought might work. She claims her handwriting has gotten so bad, that I wouldn't be able to read any of it. I could most of it :) The very best part? I was looking through the recipes, and noticed that a few of the sheets looked awfully old. They were torn from magazines...and upon closer inspection, I realized they were from 1978 and 1979!!! Those puppies are almost as old as I am!!!!

:: I got my Pampered Chef order in...very excited! My fine strainer, my egg separater, and a stone. I'm a little afraid to use the stone...we'll see how that goes. :)

Well, the family is all home for the evening and it's only 5:52. That is very very rare in this household. I think I'll go get the tacos started!

I loved nineteen minutes...I thought it was good book and I too love her writting. I didn't read your whole twilight review...I am still in the last book...couldn't get into with my thumb injury, I just chillded with TV most of the weekend. :) I am going to get more into it tonight I hope so I can see how much we agree on that series...
