hi

:: It seems like we had a long weekend...what a great feeling! And now, a three-day work week ahead for us both. We'll be off on New Year's Day, and then also on Friday the 2nd...since we both worked the day after Christmas, we get this day off instead. Looking very forward to it, as that will be a 4 day weekend!

:: During that 4 day weekend, we are heading to Dallas for a bit of it. Chris is taking his Lexus into the dealership for the 1000 mile checkup, and also to have his cd player fixed. It hasn't worked since the day we drove it off the lot. We also received a packet of cool freebies when we bought the car, so we are hoping to take advantage of some of those while in town.

:: I purchased an iHome system that I am planning on putting at my desk at work. It was fairly cheap, and then was 50% off on top of that. It obviously isn't stellar quality, but it will suit my purposes fine.

:: Chris and I did 14 miles Sunday morning. Whew. We aren't used to those long runs/rides anymore. It's been awhile since we've done more than 4 miles. The wind was fierce, and the 7 miles out about killed me. My legs were dead. Thankfully, on the 7 miles back, the wind was at my back and it was much better. Poor Chris, he never gets to coast while he's running :)

:: I am excited about something my scrapbook group is doing in 2009. Instead of participating in a birthday exchange or a Christmas exchange like we usually do, we have decided to instead do a year-long challenge to use up all of the supplies and doodads and goodies we have on hand. Because honestly, we all have WAY too much stuff. My little scrapbook room is overflowing. Spent some time this weekend getting everything organized and put away and weeded out. So when 2009 arrives in just a few days, I'll be ready to go!!! The challenge will be with ourselves and the pre-set "goal" number of pages we determine for ourselves. My goal number is 240 layouts. That will be 10 pages per each monthly crop (so 10x12 = 12o) and then 10 additional pages throughout each month. The pages at the crop won't be too bad...I typically get between 10 and 15 pages done. But I never scrapbook outside of the crops anymore. I just can't seem to find the time. So that is what I want to challenge myself to do (10 more pages x 12 months = 120 more pages, for a total of 240.) I am excited to see what I can accomplish.

:: Now that I have our scrapbook room/office in tip top shape, I want to tackle the hall closet where the "overflow" of my scrapbook stuff seems to land. I have a few more items to add to the closet, but no room! That's where I'm heading...what are your New Year's Eve plans???

Excellent scrapbook challenge between the pages and using up your stuff. New Years Eve - quiet & no plans - love that. Better yet a 2 day work week for me! PTS

I'm looking forward to our scrapbook challenge as well. I have several "unfinished projects" around that I want to complete as well as getting many layouts done that I've been kicking around in my head. Great job on getting things orginized. I am currently working on that myself! HOpefully tonight I can finish that project.!
