This is a gift I had made for Chris...we saw something similar at a marathon Expo, and I knew he wanted one. One of his coworkers dates a man who does welding, beautiful work. She and I worked stealthily to get this ready for him for Christmas. Meanwhile, Chris is talking to her too, about having it made...and good Gloria is stalling him, telling him Jim is too busy right now, blah blah. She did great! But he was able to tell her exactly what he was wanting, so we were sure to get it exactly right. Jim delivered it to me this week and I knew Chris would love it. He opened it and gave me such a classic look...he was so surprised! I love being able to surprise him!!! :)

Me with my sweet boy...absolutely love this one! Christmas has totally wiped him out...he is pooped!

Pulling out something interesting from her stocking...eyeliner? Hmmmm. Rule was that she could start wearing makeup when she turned 13. She is now 12, will be 13 in July. Chris decided that she could start out now with a little eyeliner, because all the girls in her grade are wearing it.
Practice will make perfect, obviously. First time out, she poked herself in the eye! Second time was a bit off. This is the third time, and will only get better the more she does it. Her hands are pretty shaky. She'll get it though...
We all opened way too many presents and have way too much new stuff to put away! We are truly blessed, all of us. 2008 was very good to us...

I LOVE the gift you had made for Chris. That is to funny that GLoria was able to get the details from him without him even knowing it was being made! LOVE that.
