big day & sweetness

:: What a big day! The inauguration took place at 11:00 our time, which means I was at work. I couldn't help myself, I logged onto cnn.com and watched the whole thing. It's an odd feeling, watching history being made. I love listening to Obama speak...he get my vote for best public speaker. I love the cadence he uses, and it doesn't seem like he uses any prompts. It's all just expertly delivered. Then this evening, we watched the ball. I won't mention how horrible Mariah Carey sounded during her song...oops! Well, there you go.

:: Monday evening, as I mentioned, Chris had a work function to attend. He got home around 8:50, right about the time the Bachelor was handing out his roses. In comes Chris, and ta da! He whisks out a bouquet of pretty flowers for me! I was very surprised, and my heart just swooned...and then he reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a card too! So very sweet...read "Do you know what I love most about us?" and inside, "You." Awwww! And then he moves to the other side of his jacket, and pulls out a little pint of Moose Tracks! After driving me right past Walgreens over the weekend and not getting me any, he has made his amends :) It was all so very sweet and made me smile. I have a keeper, for sure...

:: So, yes, Moose Tracks...my week of only one treat kind of went out the window there. But boy, can I just de-licious. MMMmm. I was having a severe craving for it, and that just isn't something to be denied.
