Ahhh...a fresh start! I love the new year...I always feel so motivated, so inspired, to make some positive changes in my life. Last year, I was pretty successful with the goals I set out for myself. I'm hoping for some good success this year as well...
We had a very nice New Year's Eve...Chris and I went out for a delicious dinner at Cypress Street. They were not very crowded at all, and we enjoyed some good eats like calamari, filet (me), salmon stuffed with crab (Chris), and even some dessert (chocolate brownie w/ ice cream for me, peach cobbler w/ ice cream for Chris). Mmm mm. A very tasty treat for ringing in the new year with the man of my dreams.
Then we came home and played Farkle (a fun dice game that Randy taught us) with Mimi...I tend to typically win this game and they swear it's because I am the score keeper...I am honest abe though, and just happen to have good luck with this game!!
This morning, we slept late and then when to pick Aspen up from her friend's house. Then proceeded onto track practice...Coach wanted all the kids and their families out there, to have a good fitness start to the new year. I walked/jogged about 2.5 miles while the kids practiced. Then we had a nice lunch at Rosa's...and onto home for a relaxing day at home with the family. I foresee a bit more Farkle in our near future... :)
Best wishes to you all in 2009...I have such a good feeling about this year. I am hopeful!! P.S. see below for more pics from our party!
