:: Tonight, Chris and I did 4 miles...he on foot, me on bike...brrr! The sun had gone down already, and it really cooled off. Felt good to get out and exercise though. Did a good arm and ab workout last night. I'm starting to see some definition in my shoulders, which is exciting to me! The main part I am wanting to improve is that pesky area where your arm and shoulder meet...that flabby area that really spreads out when your arm is hanging at your side. I hate that. Need to find some exercises that target that area specifically.

:: My friend Jackie has given up soda! I'm so proud of her. That's a big step!

:: Thursday is Pay Day. Thank goodness. I want to stop living month to month and really start saving up some money. No more frivolous purchases or things I don't need. Nose to the grindstone, until I can get some padding. Then I want to start saving for some big things, like our emergency fund. Then our 6 month emergency fund. Also want to save for landscaping, so we can stop being the white trash of the neighborhood :)

:: They're having a "garage sale" at work, and I want to go through a big bag of stuff we just cleaned out of our closets. I'm sure there are some things in there that I can donate to the cause. I purchased some corn on the cob dishes today, something we do need. They aren't too cute, but they'll certainly do the job.

:: Our contest at work for the St. Lucia cruise is coming to a close soon. It ends in February. I am ready for this contest to be over. For one thing, I don't like a lot of the aspects that this contest had. Also, I don't have a good feeling at all that we'll be going. I've done what I could all throughout, but there have just been a few things that I didn't want to participate in. So there are people getting points for those while I'm not. I guess we'll see. I think the winners are announced at our February luncheon. I'm ready to just find out and get on with life!

:: I'm still trudging through my Obama book. The first section was pretty interesting. This second section is getting me. Real detailed on some boring stuff. This section is "Chicago", and I'm ready to be done with it. Section three is "Kenya", and surely that has to be a bit better! I'm sure that what he is talking about now will tie in somehow, so I'm reading on...I guess it doesn't help that I have two books in waiting, both of which I really want to read.

:: I thought I might post a photo for this post, but we honestly haven't taken many at all lately. Need to pull that out more often too...

I know the area of your arm you are talking about! I think that is a tough area to get in shape, but I’m sure you will do it! I’m proud of Jackie also! I’ve done the same thing. I’ve had ONE soda since the beginning of the year. Everything is water or Crystal lite for me. It feels good… and is a step in the right direction. I feel you on the no pictures.. we haven’t used our camera since Christmas, and then it wasn’t really a lot.. sad to say.
