my daily thoughts

:: I'm digging this song...it's great really loud!

:: Idol...Michael Jackson night, eh? There are some great classic Michael songs. Some of the standouts for me tonight...loved Danny's "PYT"...must admit, I enjoyed Anoop's "Beat It" (I predicted that was the song he'd choose...mom, remember my "Beat It" sweatshirt from back in the day???)...thought that weird goth guy had a great performance, but he is totally not my kind of music. Now, at work today, me and my boss called some early winners...he chose the blind guy Scott. I went with Wild Card Megan with the tattoo sleeve. Love her voice. Love it. Come to find out, Megan is also Chris' choice! That NEVER happens, we always have different picks. But there's just something about her. And though her song choice of "Rockin Robin" was horribly wrong and the performance was silly, I thought she had some great vocal moments throughout. I hope she makes it through to the next round...

:: Saw a commercial tonight with a Smashing Pumpkins song in it...whatever happened to the Smashing Pumpkins????

:: Made some delicious burgers tonight on the George Foreman grill...that thing makes cooking so dang easy. But why on earth is it so difficult to clean!? Hate that. It needs a removable plug so it can go in the dishwasher.

:: Face update...bandage came off at 10:00 and I washed it and applied Neosporin. I've got six black stitches in a small crescent. Looks pretty good. It feels good to not have to wear a bandage, but it is a bit itchy...

:: I love the taste of grilled pineapple...it has a totally different taste from cold uncooked. I'm not sure how to make it though. I tried doing it in the broiler tonight...sliced it and put a coating of honey on top, but it didn't really get the taste that I wanted. Does it have to be done on an outdoor grill? Anybody?

Brandon grilled some pineapple on the grill last week actually...it turned out great.
Hope your face feels better soon and the stitches don't bug you too much...

If you have a gas stove you can always buy a stovetop grill plate. I bought a cast iron grill plate to place on my gas stove for the winter and I love it. Just like grilling outside.

Hope beautiful face is mucho better. Proud of Aspen!

OMG!!! I love that song too! I've had it for awhile. I would have suggested it, but it doesn't seem like your "usual" taste. LOL. I guess you have widely varied taste like me.
