some thoughts

:: Oh, my boy...his sweet little face never fails to grab my heart.

:: Had a nice treat this evening...our friends invited us over for a yummy dinner. Rolando and Ana brought the brisket and we made burritos out of it. And Misty made a 4 layer dessert that I had a few bites of. For some reason, they never let us bring anything. I think they're afraid we can't cook! Hanging out with these people is definitely bad for the Clean Eating. Misty, however, mentioned that she just bought Tosca's Eat Clean book, so that was exciting to hear! However, after dinner for some reason, they all went and weighed...and the two women weighed 111 and 119. How can I hang out with full-grown women who weigh that? It is insane. I came home and walked my ass off on the treadmill for 45 minutes. Blah.

:: I love watching Friends reruns while I walk the treadmill...I was running low on my DVRd shows, so I set the timer to pick up some new ones. So happy I did...I had been watching a bunch of older ones, and this batch is of newer episodes. I like those much better. I laugh and laugh. Chris thinks I'm crazy, but that show is so me.

:: I finished "East"...it was an interesting book, and I enjoyed it. It was a big departure from my normal style of book, which I am not opposed to. I think it's very interesting to delve into what others find entertaining. It was a good story, well written, and worth a read if you like supernatural things like a man being turned into a big white bear by a troll queen. :)

:: My book buddy has hooked me up with my next read..."The Host" by Stephenie Meyer. I was thrilled when I saw this was the book she had for me. This is the author of the "Twilight" series, and this book is geared more toward adults. Since "Twilight" was one of my favorites, I am anxious to see what this one is about. So far, I know it's about alien "souls" that invade human hosts, and have taken over the world. Again, not necessarily my style...but you know, isn't that what helps us to grow?

:: Time to hit the shower and then the sack...
