a monday

:: Had to grocery shop this evening after work, since I was too busy scrapbooking yesterday. That grocery store was a complete madhouse! I don't know what the deal was. Every single parking spot was taken. ??? When has that ever been the case? There were about 10 cars doing circles in the parking lot, waiting for someone to back out. What a crazy experience! Inside, there were no carts, and people were everywhere. I'm not sure what was going on.

:: Up and down the aisles, I kept seeing this man and his little daughter...finally he says to me, "Are you building a sailboat??" I can not even imagine the look that must have passed over my face! What!? I repeated his question to make sure I heard him correctly and he smiled. Explained that he had recently met a woman who looked just like me, and she was building a sailboat. He thought that I was her. When I assured him that no, I in fact was not building a sailboat, he told me that I had a twin out there in the world...which is kind of bizarre to me really, because he is the third person this month to tell me that. How is it possible that there are so many people that look like me out there?? One person told me that he had seen someone in Arizona that looked just like me. Someone else mentioned that a nurse here in town had worked on them, and they swore she looked just like me. Me and at least three others...can you imagine that many of me? Whew.

:: The Bachelorette...hmmmmmmmm...I have mixed emotions on the finale. Here are some of my thoughts, if you care to know them. 1) I don't think they should have let Reid come back. She sent him home. I think it was more suited that Ed came back, because it was his decision to leave, not hers. I think once she kicks you off, you're off. And really, I liked Reid a whole lot...but to come and declare you love to someone, don't you think you could possibly tuck your shirt in and look a little sharper overall??? 2) I was really pro-Ed for awhile...I was sooo excited when he came back!! But over the weeks, he has slipped for me...not sure what exactly it was, maybe he was too needy and gooey. Plus, he had a gut on him eh? :) 3) I switched my favor from Ed to Kiptin. He really grew on me, and I thought he was the most attractive of the bunch, with a nice 6 pack too. I thought their relationship had more substance, and that there was a more natural flow between them. So. I was really sad to see Kiptin go. I was happy she didn't switch to Reid. And I guess I'm okay with the Ed choice. Neither of the men, however, picked the diamond that I would have picked... :)

:: Chris flew to Dallas this evening with some people from his department to watch the Rangers game...they won, 5-2! Yay! They got rained on a little bit, but seems like they had a fun time. They should be getting on the plane soon for the short trip home...

:: Our incredible weeds are gone...so weird to see our yard without them. I had sort of gotten used to them! Chris was not happy with the job Rent-a-Rake did though. He's pretty sure they just used the weed eater to cut them down, and then tilled the ground, leaving all the weed roots in there. Not sure what the plan is now.

:: My mom got a new car and is thrilled beyond words! I am so happy for her and can't wait to see it.
This is what she got...lucky girl!!

:: Only got 2 of my 4 loads of laundry done tonight. More tomorrow! Also, cleaning tomorrow in preparation for my candle party on Wednesday...looking forward to it.

:: Time for bed...will read a bit until Chris gets home...my book, in this last 1/4th, is pretty good. Trying to figure it all out, it's a bit of a mystery...
