errand heavy day

:: Today was a fairly busy day, errand-wise...Chris and I took my Murano in to the dealership because we thought the transmission was making a weird clunking noise. Took that in on the way to work this morning. Then, after work, he dropped me back off to pick it up. They ran some tests on it and everything is fine. They said since it's a CVT transmission, we'll hear it shift sometimes, especially if I haven't come to a complete stop, etc. Whew!!

:: From there, I went to Eye Masters to pick up my new frames...here I am! It's the end of the day and I'm not looking my best, but you'll get the idea!

:: From there, I picked up the dry cleaning and picked up a prescription at Walgreens.

:: Then I tried a new recipe for dinner and it wasn't the best. I switched out the sirloin with buffalo steak, and was very excited. I think I overcooked it though, it was very tough. :( The rest of it was just so so, so I'll probably just trash the recipe...

:: Here's a pic I took the other day of my delicious blueberry banana bread...isn't it pretty!!

:: I rocked my arm workout last night! I did the whole thing through without stopping, which is a first. I felt so good afterwards!! And I weighed this morning and have lost 2-3 pounds. Yay! So far this year, I have been adding a new Clean habit each week. Focusing on that for a solid week and then adding something else. So far I have done 1) no white sugar; 2) no white pasta/rice/bread; and now 3) 32oz water every day. I'm liking this system and think that focusing on one added thing each week is going well. Right now, I do not even want any sweets. Nothing. Not even a treat. How long can I keep that up?

:: Tomorrow is day two of my book study on Waking the Dead...looking forward to it. Delving deeper...

You have been busy today. It sounds a lot like mine. Mine wasn't filled with errands but trainings and meetings. Made it home at 7:45 tonight. I'm glad your vehicle is ok. I really like your new glasses too. I think our glasses are similar. I have to have mine for distance so when we scrap I rarely wear them because everything is blurry. Proud of you taking one step at a time to form new habits. Jim and I have eaten wheat bread and have eaten bran or shredded wheat cereal for years. He drinks 2% and I drink Skim milk. We grill our meat and eat veggies..we try very hard to eat healthy since he is diabetic. My area of concern is getting back to a consistent exercising program. Since I'm no longer a member at Hendrick Health Center, I've let myself go.

Your bread looks great. Virginia tried one of the recipes from her Kraft magazine this week and said it turned out very good. She used some deer meat that we gave her. Jim got a deer this year for the first time in three years. Anyway, she said it was very good. When I get it, I'll share it with you. I'm even going to try it myself since we have some deer (hamburger) meat.

Don't forget to check on me Thursday. I'm gearing up for throwing it all out there!!! :0)

I love the glasses! Great choice. The bread looks very yummy! Great job on losing 2-3 pounds and doing so good on your clean eating. You're doing great!
