our weekend

:: We had a lovely weekend!! Hope you did too...

:: Friday evening, we met our friends Ricky and Misty, and Rolando and Ana at Abuelos for dinner...then Chris and I went to get hardwood floor samples from Lowes. I think we've decided on which wood we want to get...now to purchase it, and set up a time for our friend Greg to come and lay it. It will really change up the look of our living room...hopefully for the better!!

:: Saturday, after sleeping late, we headed out for lunch at Double Dave's once Chris was done with his ten mile run. Then we spent a little time together at the mall...Dillards had a fabulous sale going on and I was looking for some brown heels for work. No luck on those, but I did find some adorable red patent flats and Chris was so sweet to buy them for me. He is the bestest hubby...he actually spent his gift card from Christmas on a few ties at Dillards. It's always just so nice to hang out together.

:: Saturday evening, we met our friends Greg and Lauren for dinner at Casa Herrara. We had a great time, adn then relaxed at home for the rest of the evening.

:: Sunday, after church, we attended the annual church meeting. That was interesting, and they provided lunch. From there, I did the grocery shopping and made some healthy cookies from Tosca's newest cookbook. They are pretty tasty, but I wasn't able to find the nut the recipe called for. It was supposed to be hazelnuts but I used macadamias instead. Not too bad. Will try them again when I can find the hazelnuts.

:: The week ahead looks to be fairly fun...I have bunko on Wednesday and am looking forward to that. This coming weekend is also our February retreat, so that will be two days of scrapbook fun. I need to get some things planned for the two days...
