:: So nice to wear my new glasses today and give my eyes a nice break!! Ahhhh. It's also amazing how much more accurate glasses are than contacts...everything was much more sharp. Seems like people liked the glasses, although I was called "librarian", "teacher", and the such all day. People think they are so funny! :)
:: Had my second book study today, and it went really well. I am enjoying our group. From chapter two, I would like to share a snippet with you. As I am not very versed in all the stories of the Bible, I had not heard this one and it really made me stop and think...how often do you think that your prayers aren't answered??
Daniel was trying to decipher a message he had received from God, so he was fasting and praying. Though his prayers weren't being answered, he continued fasting and praying. On the 21st day of the fast, an angel showed up and apologized. The angel explained that God had actually dispatched him to answer Daniel's prayers the very first day he prayed them, which had been three weeks prior. The angel goes on to explain that he had been locked in combat with a fallen angel, a demonic power who kept him away from Daniel so he couldn't answer his prayer per God's command. The angel had called in reinforcements in order to beat the fallen angel and arrive to answer the prayer.
That really speaks to me...that really tells me that yes, God hears our prayers and actually answers them...but a lot of times, evil gets in the way and delays the answers or causes them to come too late altogether...
:: Time to get some things ready for dinner and then head out to pick Aspen up from Youth Group...until tomorrow!

Last year our church did Beth Moore's bible study of Daniel. It was awesome! She helped me to understand the book of Daniel so much more and how God works. If you ever get a chance to participate in the Daniel study, I would highly recommend it.
