booksies

I love books...and even better, a big pile of books waiting to be read!! I have such a nice big pile going on right now...most I received for Christmas, and a few others I bought for myself...

Right now, I am reading "Handle with Care" and it is really good so far. I love Jodi Picoult. Her stories are so detailed and intricate...this one is about a family with a child who has OI, where their bones are so brittle they break too easily. I'm not very far in, so more review to come on this one later...

After this one, I have a plethora to choose from!

Besides his newest book, which is still in hardback, this is the only Sparks book I have yet to read. Honestly, I don't even remember what this one is about, but I look forward to reading it.

Since I am a knitter, I thought this would be a fun one to read...and I've heard good things about it. And I believe there is also a sequel, if I happen to like it...

And then there are a few more Jodi books on tap...

Jodi can keep me busy for quite some time...even after these here, I still have a ton of hers left...

I'm interested in seeing this movie, so I thought it would be fun to read the book too...

What are you reading right now?? If you've got some good recommendations, fill me in...I am always looking for more books for my pile!!

Reading History of Love...just started, so not sure what it will be like. Read Anita Shreve, Testimony last week....very good. Read Kristen Hannah, Firefly Lane...also very good. I like her writing a lot too. I am a big Jodi fan...Handle with Care was great. I am looking forward to her new one House Rules out next month. I read Perfect Match last month...very good too. We so need to be closer to do a book club or at least a book swap. :) You need to look into Paperbackswap.com too.

Right now, I'm working on the Ester study but I did check out a book called, "The Yada Yada Prayer Group." It's about Jodi Baxter. She attends a Chicago Women's Conference and is assigned to a prayer group of 12 women who come from totally different backgrounds. In spite of their differences, they help each other through personal stuggles and Jodi who is a long time Christian "good girl" learns what it means to be a sinner saved by grace.

I'm looking forward to getting past the 5th chapter...right now, there's been a stand still due to preparing for the retreat and my bible study. :0)
