transformation

Well, here I am with hardwood pictures finally. Sorry for the delay! I looked for a photo of our living room with the carpet but couldn't find one. Nonetheless...here we go!


The week leading up to the transformation, we all took turns writing on the carpet with a Sharpie! Too fun....even Ocho did it! :)

Friday evening, Chris and I got to it and tore out the carpet, padding and cleared it all out down to the cement slab...you can see Ocho here, overseeing the work from his throne on the couch.

Our friend Greg was our master installer...and Chris was his handy apprentice!! I would say that Chris learned quite a lot, and Greg's knowledge is infinite...here is Chris hard at work...

Isn't it pretty??? We love the color. It is variated and that really gives it depth.

Here they are nearing the end...almost done...

A a finishing shot...we still need to get a nice, new rug for between the tv and the chair/couch, and do a few minor touchups, but overall, it's a done deal...

Our living room loks twice as big...it's crazy!!!
