musings

:: The sun actually came out this afternoon! It was so nice to see it...it has been days and days of rain and gloomy gray skies around here. That tends to grate on me after awhile, so when I walked out of the office after work and felt that warmth on my skin, I just wanted to lift my face up to the sun and soak it in. Ahhhh...

:: Went on a four mile bike ride with Chris as he ran, couldn't let that glorious weather pass me by. It was breathtaking...

:: And then took Ocho on a walk! Since his surgery, he hasn't been running and hiding when I mention "walk"...he actually is coming to me and allowing me to put his harness on. So, it has been nice to start walking with him again. Hopefully he keeps enjoying it.

:: Today I was able to get my annual reports printed...yay! So now, it's time to bind them together and then it is a done deal!!!! This has been a major project since February, so I am quite ready to close it and move on.

:: Ten more days, and then I begin my Sabbatical! That is such an exciting, scary thought!Honestly, I can't really imagine 30 days straight of no work...and to think I only have ten more days is kind of freaking me out a bit!! I am a very routine person, I like schedules and plans. I have broad plans for my 30 days, but I want to attempt to keep it a little freeflowing in terms of a schedule. That may be too much for me, and I may have to schedule out my days a bit more...I will adjust as needed, as I go. I have worked since I was 16...I worked in high school, I worked in college, I worked in summers home from college, I interned, and I have had five jobs since graduation. I've been working over half my life now, with only a week's vacation here and there. This will feel a bit foreign, I'm sure, but I am ready to embrace it!!

:: Think I will go read for a bit...time to unwind.

Glad that Ocho is enjoying his walks now. He is indeed on the quick mend!

I can't wait to see how your sabbatical works out for you, I know it will be awesome!

We had sun and nice weather too and I did the same, go out and took Sally for a LONG walk. So nice! I know you are feeling anxious about the break and I can imagine I would be too, but what an opportunity. I hope you enjoy it and take time to focus on you...I can't wait to hear about it!
