:: Friday evening, we met our friends Greg and Lauren for mexican and had a lovely time! Stopped at Lowes afterwards and picked up a hanging plant (sweet potato) to hang in our landscaping and also a new vine plant to put in our big planter. My strawberries did not do well. Most likely it was the grower (moi).
:: Saturday, we were on the road by 7:30 a.m. and heading to Dallas. We took the Lexus in for an oil change and a recall. Then had lunch at an amazing place called Blue Mesa Grill. I had goat cheese enchiladas, so unusual!! But very tasty. We did a little shopping and bought Aspen the things she needs for her upcoming running camp.
:: We also stopped for some of this, and I was snuckered. It was a very neat place...self-serve frozen yogurt with lots of flavors to choose from, and then a whole bar of toppings like candy, fruit, etc. I asked the lady if they had any sugar-free yogurts, and she said no, but that they were all "no sugar added", just the natural sugars from the fruit. Hmmm. It sounded way too good to be true, but I went ahead and joined the party with a pomegranate yogurt topped with blueberries and blackberries. When I got home, I looked up the website, and it turns out that the lady had no idea what she was talking about!!!!! The majority of the yogurts had sugar right there in the ingredient list, and the ones that were "sugar-free" had fake sugars (which I think are worse even than regular white sugar because they are all chemicals). Sigh. In one fell swoop that woman broke my 6-month streak of no sugar...oh well. I can only do what I can do.
:: Sunday, we went to church and did the grocery shopping. Finished the laundry. Chris and Aspen ran for 45 minutes and I rode my bike with them. In a light drizzle rain. Then we decided to take a drive through the country just for the fun of it...and took a few pics along the way. If it hadn't been raining we would've taken more!

We pulled over to the side of the road and a bunch of cows came running toward us. We loved this guy.
