She's going into high school in the fall, and yes, we are in for a world of trouble with the boys.
At any rate, today was Aspen's 14th birthday!!!
It was a tad bittersweet, because Chris was not here to celebrate with us. Unfortunately his trip to Uganda coincided with her special day...but the good thing is that now her birthday gets to extend for another week! We'll do a second birthday dinner, have her birthday cake, and give her the gifts from us...
But tonight...Mimi and I took her to Outback for a birthday steak and we had a good time together. One of Mimi's ex-students works there and we sat in her section. I found her quite delightful. We also know a fun guy that works there, and he came out to visit with us for awhile too. She got a free, yummy birthday dessert too!

And it was high time for new bedding...something a little more grown up. Aspen really loves her new black and white duds.
After a day of beauty at Mimi's school with her best friend Bailey, a good dinner out, and some very nice gifts, we sure hope Aspen enjoyed her 14th birthday...and we get to do it again next week once Chris gets home! Woot woot!
