seven tidbits

:: My new Merrell sandals were delivered today, and: I like them, they fit great, and they are comfy! Just dandy! I'll be able to wear these to work on casual days, too, since they aren't flip flops.

:: Also received three signed photos today from Ryan Hall!!!! A little background. Chris told me that, for his birthday, he wanted a signed picture of Ryan. Ryan Hall, for those who don't know, is a world class athlete, and was in the Olympics for the marathon. He is an awesome runner. So, I emailed Ryan and asked how to get a signed photo. And he responded within eight minutes, saying to just send him a self-addressed stamped envelope and he would send them to me! I was soooo excited! Unfortunately, it didn't come in time for his birthday, but it came today...and inside were three 4x6 cards with Ryan's photo on them, and all three signed by Ryan with a bible verse listed. One was even addressed to me :) We need to figure out how to frame these so Chris can hang them in his office. So happy that he sent them, toooooo cool!

:: Had to grocery shop after work, and then made a quick spaghetti dinner. Watered all our flowers really well, picked off the dead ones, and even saw a hummingbird! We moved the feeder to the front, and I've been worried that they wouldn't find it now. Hopefully this is a good sign and they'll come and sup.

:: We are having fun watching the Tour de France...it's something we enjoy every July...

:: Perfect Match by Jodi Picoult is an intriguing read...she has surprised me a few times so far, and I'm not sure how it will end. That is always a good thing because it keeps you reading. An interesting twist is that I don't like the main character anymore, after what has happened. Was that the author's intention, or am I different than most??

:: I'm thinking again about opening an etsy shop...I believe I would have to charge sales tax and actually have a business license. I'm not into that. I just closed my business because it was such a hassle to do all of that crap for the very little business we did. So, I will probably not be going that route, sadly...

:: I bought some popsicle molds at the kitchen store in Fredericksburg, and made some homemade fruit pops last night. They are soooo good!! I threw some raspberries, cherries, pineapple, and blueberries into the blender with a little agave nectar, and mixed it all up. Poured it into the molds and voila!!! A delicious and healthy frozen treat. YUM!
