:: Friday, at work, we had a sendoff for Chris and his Sabbatical...he officially begins tomorrow (Monday)!!! I am excited to see what the next 30 days has in store for him. Fourteen of those days will be spent in Uganda, Africa, and that in itself will be a big life changer. The Sabbatical is such an amazing experience, and he deserves this time to recharge and reflect.
:: Friday evening, we had dinner with great friends, and then decided to go bowling!! We had a great time!

:: Saturday, we slept a little late and then took care of some last minute things for Chris' trip. Had a nice lunch at Double Dave's and a delicious dinner at Olive Garden. One thing Chris and I worked on was making a will, a power of attorney, and a medical power of attorney. Nothing else makes you feel like such a grown up! I pray that these were only formalities that we won't need to use for oh, about 80 more years.
:: Today, we had an amazing service at church. Our preacher even singled Chris out and had the whole congregation hold hands and pray for his safety during his trip. The rest of our day was filled with chores. I did get to get my second planter all ready. We bought one in Fredericksburg to match the other one we have for the front porch. It ended up being slightly smaller, and slightly darker in color, but the design is the same. Guess it will have to do! I bought the same vine flower and got that all planted this evening. Looks very nice! Now I am winding down my evening and getting ready for my work week...
:: Off to spend some precious time with my hubby!

I'll be thinking of you and Chris during his trip. Can't wait to hear about it.
