a few things

:: I'm taking part in a book study at work on a book called "Total Forgiveness" by RT Kendall. Our company heard RT speak at our year-end meeting last year, and he is an adorable old man of Christ. We were all very blessed to hear his words. Our first book study is next Thursday, and I began my reading this evening. Very good stuff so far. I have just tapped the surface so far, but this is what I have learned: the Holy Spirit can not dwell in your heart when it is filled with bitterness...you must forgive and banish the bitterness, and then you will feel an amazing peace in your heart that can only come from the Holy Spirit. I will continue to share, as I learn and grow...

:: Aspen is at church camp this week in Oklahoma...I pray that her heart is overwhelmed by the presence of God surrounding her and that the Holy Spirit leads her to make better choices in her life.

:: I received some very sad news last Friday...my coworker and friend, Faith, is moving away. Her husband received a job offer that they couldn't pass up, and so on August 12, we will sadly say goodbye to her. Even though I am technically her "boss", I was quite unprofessional when she told me all of this...I teared up and felt such intense sadness. Faith is not just another coworker...she is one of the most amazing women I have ever had the blessing to meet. She has an inspiring attitude of love and joy like I have never experienced. She lives for the Lord and is so excited about that fact. The insane thing is that she is about 10 years younger than me...but she has taught ME an incredible amount...about life and love and God and joy. I have taught her nothing. I am so sad to see her go, because it will be a great loss to my life. She is a breath of fresh air every single day. She is like no one I have ever met. I must understand that God put her in my life for a reason, and that that reason is now fulfilled...He has other purposes for her now, and she must move on. She will take her goodness into someone else's life, and have an amazing impact on them too. I am still sad.

:: On a happier note, next Thursday is my 4th wedding anniversary with Mr. Baber!!! They have been four amazing years...and we'll be taking a little anniversary trip to our favorite place...Fredericksburg. Looking very forward to our getaway...
