Happy Sunday to you all!
I have a few things to share from our weekend!
:: Friday evening, we went to eat at Casa with Greg and Lauren...then us girls went to Target while the boys went to Lowes...and then Chris and I went to a late movie and saw Lone Survivor. Wow. That movie is so intense. It is an incredible story, everyone should definitely see it. Aspen met us there after she got off work, and she brought a nice boy along named Grayson.
:: Saturday, we were honored to be invited to share in Kynlee's first birthday party! She was the cutest. She had a lady bug themed party, and she wore an adorable black and red tutu :) She had no interest in her gifts, but she sure had a lot of fun pulling out all of the tissue paper!! She received a lot of clothes; we may have been the only ones to give her a toy! She did really enjoy that, so that was good! It was also lots of fun watching her with her first cake. She was tentative at first, and wasn't sure what to do. But after getting a few tastes, she was all about it!
:: After leaving the party, Chris and I did a ten mile ride/run. We took a great route and I was able to see a lot of donkeys! I saw two that I have never seen before, so that was fun. This first one seemed to be a young miniature, and it had a very sweet spirit. It came right over to me when I called it, and I am excited to go see it again!! The second one was extremely docile. It's ears were so far back that it looked like it didn't even have any! It was pretty funny!
:: Saturday was very busy for Aspen -- she volunteered at the church garage sale prep from 9:30 - 11:30, then worked from 12:00 - 2:30, then she went to the gym and did her run, then she worked from 5:00 - 9:00. Her days are very full. She brought Chik-fil-A home and we all chatted a bit before going to bed.
:: Saturday evening, Chris and I went to Tokoyo for sushi. Since I am soon to start my Whole30 challenge, I won't be eating any rice. So I wanted to get some sushi in before that. :) I think I will be ok cutting everything out, but I am sure going to miss sushi!!! I will be able to eat sashimi still, which is my face. So that is good! We had a lovely dinner -- miso soup, gyoza dumplings, white tuna sashimi (not nearly as delicious as my salmon sashimi!), and three rolls: Philadelphia, White Tail with Scallions, and Spicy Tuna. MMmmmm!!! After dinner, we did the grocery shopping and did some relaxing.
:: After our ten miler, I rested on our bed a bit and Poppy came to snuggle with me. She is a very, very affectionate loving dog, but she will rarely snuggle up quite this much. We were like this for quite a bit and I so enjoyed it! Super sweet!
:: Sunday, our church service was great! This coming Saturday we are attending the membership class at Beltway and we are looking forward to that. We will learn all about becoming members there, and what it entails. Our friend John will be joining us!! After church, I did laundry and got things organized for the week. This evening I have been invited to sub in a bunko group at Lauren's house, and that should be fun. Then The Walking Dead!!!!
Happy week ahead!
