Bacclaurette

I love long weekends!!!! We have been productive and we still have one more day! Yippie! I'll write about our weekend tomorrow...right now, I wanted to post about Aspen's Bacclaurette that occurred today.

It was held at Beltway Park Church (our church), and it lasted about 40 minutes total. They started with a prayer, had a few speakers, had a vocal group sing a few songs, gave out a few memorial scholarships, and ended with a prayer. It was quite crazy seeing everyone in their caps and gowns...especially our girl! It really starts to make it all seem very, very real. This coming Friday is the big day.

Aspen looked beautiful today -- the purple and gold makes it all so official!
Chris and I are both so thrilled that this day has arrived...to be honest, there were many times throughout the past few years when we weren't sure this day would come, for a number of different reasons. God is so good and we are so proud of Aspen and the changes she has made in her life!
Aspen with her mom, Karly
Aspen with her half brother, Sammy
Aspen and her daddy -- she loves him more than anything and anyone!
Me and Aspen -- so proud of her
Aspen and Mimi
She is off school tomorrow for the holiday, then she begins her last week of high school...finals, a few early release days, and then Friday is Graduation! Project Graduation that night, and then a weekend before her whirlwind summer begins!
