happy memorial day

:: What a very nice, long weekend here! I hope you enjoyed yours!!

:: Friday after work, Chris and I worked out in the Wellness Center -- I did a little cardio and then we lifted weights together. That was actually a lot of fun!! From there, we headed to dinner at Heff's for burgers. Very yummy! Afterwards, Chris treated me to a little shopping spree to get some clothes that fit! I ended up finding two pair of jeans, two pair of shorts, two tank tops, and a light-weight cardigan. Very excited! Also found a necklace to wear with the dress I'm wearing to Aspen's graduation...

:: Saturday morning, we woke up bright and early and headed to the farmers market here in Abilene. We had never been before, and I was excited to see what it offered. It was fairly small, but we did get some great goodies! Tomatoes, cucumbers, purple onions, zucchini and grass fed beef and sausage from the local university's AG team. Yum!

:: After that, Chris went to Lowes with Neeley and then they worked on finishing up the sheet rock in the shop. I headed to Target to get a few things, and then home to clean and organize etc. Between Saturday and Sunday, in addition to cleaning, I also super cleaned the fridge/freezer and super cleaned my closet (both of which were long overdue and look sooo nice now!).

:: Saturday evening, we went for sushi - yummm!! Aspen met us there for a bit and ate a roll with us. She was gone most of the weekend, going from one thing to the next. Lots of senior activities happening right now. After sushi, we did the grocery shopping and called it a night.

:: Sunday, church was fantastic and at 2:00 we went to Bacclaureatte. Then more organizing.

:: Monday, Chris got up early and ran 12 miles. After more cleaning and organizing, I made a run to the Dollar Tree and the grocery store, and Chris worked in the yard. It had rained all weekend, and finally cleared up a bit. We had a yummy dinner, and now we are relaxing a bit. Back to work tomorrow for three days, and then off Friday and Monday! Looking forward to the graduation festivities and having Mom and Randy here for a few days!!!!
