Wednesday, 4-16-14 -- Cabo San Lucas Port
Our second port day! We had the same plan for getting off the ship...sleep in a bit, workout, eat breakfast, and let others get off first. After that, we met up in the waiting area for awhile until it was our turn to board the tender. At Cabo, the ship had to anchor up off shore, and we had to take little tender boats in to the port. Kind of fun!
Once we set foot on land, Cabo was just as our Puerto Vallarta guide had described...stuff to see and do as far as the eye could see. Much more touristy. We walked and looked and shopped and had fun with our friends. We meandered through the town until we came to Cabo Wabo, where we rested and had a most delicious lunch!! Cabo Wabo is Sammy Haggar's restaurant, and it was a fun place. We meandered back to the ship and enjoyed the sites along the way. Nice, relaxing day in Mexico!

Once back on the ship, we had another delicious dinner and then took in the nightly show -- a comedy variety show starring Alfred & Seymour -- two very funny black guys! We really enjoyed the show.
Thursday, 4-1-7-14 -- Sea Day
Done with our ports, we were back on the ship for two full days at sea. This is where things really started settling in for us. The days at sea, while you might think it would get boring, the opposite was just the case. Being on the ship, with no plan, with no cell phone or technology, and only so many things to occupy your time -- that is when pure relaxation begins!! Chris and I were loving it!! Oh the decisions -- should we get a piece of pizza? Yes. Should we get an ice cream? Yes. Should we sit on the deck and watch the ocean? Yes. Oh, there's so-and-so, let's chat with them. Relaxation is beautiful.
So, for this day at sea...we began with another workout. With all that food we were eating, we certainly had to keep up with the workouts. As it was, I gained 4 pounds on the cruise!!! :) Thankfully it fell off quickly once we returned home. We had breakfast at the buffet and relaxed a bit. And then, I went to a zumba class! I was so excited, and it was such fun!! There were so many people there, it was difficult to move around...but we made it work and I loved it!! Afterwards, I met up with Chris and Kim and Gary, who were enjoying themselves at a wine tasting! Chris really enjoyed that. He sampled 6 wines, and had little snacks to go with it. More relaxing, snacks, and then our second formal dinner! And another show -- this one was "Disco -- Blame it on the Boogie", another great song/dance show.
Then we were in for a treat, as it was time for the Princess Idol finalists to perform! We had three FDLIC members in the finals, and Kathy's daughter Ivy took the grand prize!!! She won some souveniers and a bottle of champagne :) She has a beautiful voice. And then -- on to Crooner's for more martinis!!!
