just a normal day

:: It's a china gel kind of evening...trying to prevent this headache from going full-blown. So far, so good...

:: My second Whole 30 is going well...I'm not even sure what day I am on. I just know it ends next Tuesday. Doing the second round has definitely helped me get back on track after the cruise. I am looking forward to next Tuesday and plan to slowly reintroduce foods that I love. After the first Whole 30, I wasn't really able to do that since we headed for the cruise. My weight is maintaining right where I want it, and now my focus is toning and definition. Need to do some research on the best way to achieve that goal.

:: Work was productive today...and full.

:: Had a good workout after work -- the Beast and some weights. Then I picked Chris up on the way home; he had headed running toward the house and was able to get 5 miles in before I arrived.

:: I received my Birchbox shipment for May today!! It was full of fun goodies -- BB creme for the face, sunscreen, lip gloss, vitamins, and shampoo/conditioner for colored hair. It's such a fun time opening the box to see what they've included for the month.

:: I am finally getting my hair done tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will feel 10 years younger when I walk outta there :) Long, long overdue.

:: Sunday, our life group is having a get together and that should be fun...we have grown a bit in numbers, and everyone is bringing kids, etc. Aspen unfortunately has an Ireland meeting and then has to work, so she won't be able to join us.

:: I'm not sure if I have mentioned this here...I looked back a bit and couldn't find it. For Chris' 40th birthday, which is July 3rd, he has a big goal. CHARITY WATER. He is going to run 40 miles for his 40th birthday! His hope is to raise money for Charity Water for his cause, so that he can donate toward a well. We all take water for granted, but there are many places in the world that have struggles with water. It's a basic life necessity. We Americans go through bottle after bottle without even thinking about it. If you are interested in donating to the cause, the link above will tell you how. On his birthday, which is a Thursday, we are both off work. We are going to drive 40 miles out (to Winters) and then he is going to run home. I will drive and stop every 5 miles or so to be his support on the road. It will be a long, hot day for him. The longest he has ever run is 26.2, so 40 is quite a jump. Yes, my hubby has some "insane" in his genes!

:: Time to go read for my book study with Aspen...until tomorrow!
