Happy Mother's Day!!

First off, I want to thank my own mother for being such an important part of my life! She has always loved me unconditionally and I am so blessed that she is MY mom. She is such a beautiful woman, inside and out :) I am getting to see her soon, when she travels to Texas for Aspen's graduation in a few weeks...can't wait to see her!!

Today was a beautiful day here in Texas...Aspen wrote a very sweet card for me, and gave me some very thoughtful gifts -- a pretty mug for my tea, and four cute pairs of earrings! She is the reason that I am a mother, and she has enriched my life in so many ways...I thank God for allowing me to be a part of her life!

Mimi was so sweet today -- she offered to cook Mother's Day lunch for us all! She loves to cook and rarely gets the chance, and I know she really enjoyed puttering in the kitchen today. She made a delicious lunch of ham, potato salad, and cabbage and we enjoyed our time eating together. She also gifted me with an adorable metal donkey for my collection :)

Busy week ahead (of course)...I am getting my hair done on Tuesday, finally, after having to reschedule twice now. My grays are shining through and I am almost back to my natural color. Time for fresh dye!!! Thursday, we are going to a birthday dinner for our friend John at Abuelos, and Saturday is the monthly crop at Kim's. I am really looking forward to that!!

Saturday night is Aspen's graduation party! It is a joint graduation party with her youth group girls, and should be fun. She also has another graduation party on Sunday night. Lots of senior stuff going on.
