:: Hello there! I'm here to tell you about our weekend :)
:: Friday evening, Chris and I had a date night! He had made reservations at Copper Creek, and we enjoyed a delicious dinner together there. We had the salmon stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer; he had the burger (which I vote as the best in town!) and I had the salmon with horseradish sauce. Very tasty! We also shared some chocolate cake and ice cream! Afterwards, we headed home to watch a rented movie, and then called it a night.
:: Saturday morning, Chris ran 17 miles. I put water out for him, and then got ready for my day. I went to the scrapbook crop from 10:00 until 1:30, and then I headed downtown to watch the live production of The Nutcracker with my friend Angie! So fun!! We really enjoyed it. It was pouring down rain, so that made for a dreary, messy day. But it was still nice. After the show, I went back to the crop for about an hour and a half, and overall was able to finish about 20 pages. Not too bad! I stopped at Hobby Lobby afterwards, and bought a few Christmas presents and looked for photo props. From there, I met Chris and Aspen at Rosa's for dinner. We enjoyed our time together, and decided on our "theme" for our Christmas card photos the next day. We finalized a few things for that, and then called it a night. I was able to put on my next batch of Jamberry nails -- turquoise chevron pattern for most nails, and a shimmery pink/blue gradation for a few. Turned out very cute!
:: Sunday, we enjoyed church and then ate a quick lunch. We met Kim and her family downtown at 1:00 and took part in our 11th annual Christmas card photo shoot!!! I think we were able to get some really cute ones. Can't wait to get the card created and mailed!!! :) After photos, I made the grocery list and did the grocery shopping; did some of our laundry. Made dinner, and Aspen's friend joined us. Then we all watched The Walking Dead! And to finish off our weekend, Chris and I had our first book study together...Chapter 1 of Now You're Speaking My Language...we had a great talk, and were challenged with a few things for the week ahead. Chapter 2 next Sunday! From there, it was time for bed!
:: Every second was pretty much accounted for over the weekend...busy busy. But all good stuff!!
:: Today was good -- the start of a short week! We are off on Wednesday and Thursday, and I am looking forward to that. Mimi and I are cooking Thanksgiving lunch and we'll have some good family time. I am sad to miss Thanksgiving in St. Louis at my mom's. No one cooks Thanksgiving like she does! Mmm mmm! Maybe she will ship some to us!!! :)
