Aruba Day 6

Aruba Day 5 - Saturday, April 25

Our final day in Aruba! We enjoyed a final breakfast at La Vista, and then wandered the beach for a bit. At 10:30, we headed to the airport -- headed home!

The process of leaving Aruba was...LONG. We arrived at the airport three hours early. We checked our bags, then went through security, then through Aruban customs. Then we reclaimed our checked luggage, went through U.S. customs, rechecked our bags, and then went through U.S. security. We cut it very close to being on time for our flight, we needed that whole three hours. Very long process, but the good thing was that we didn't have to do anything upon return to the U.S.

The flights home were uneventful and we arrived in Dallas around 8:45 pm. By the time we got our luggage from baggage claim and caught the shuttle back to the Marriott hotel, it was nearly 10:00. We stopped at Taco Cabana on the way home, and pulled into the driveway around 2:00 a.m. Whewwwwww we were exhausted -- it was a long day of travel! But, the pups and Mimi were waiting up to greet us and it was so nice to sleep in our own bed!

Thank you, FDLIC, for a wonderful getaway! It was definitely one that we will never forget!!
