Over the weekend, while out doing birthday shopping for Aspen, Chris and I happened upon a glorious field of sunflowers. These fields were everywhere at one point, but with all of the construction of new neighborhoods in the last few years, these fields have become a thing of the past.
So we pulled over and traipsed through the field in the burning heat to get a few pics...and I'm so glad that we did! {and that I have a man who's willing to do stuff like that!}
Not bad for a girl who was never a cheerleader, eh? :)
This picture almost got deleted. When I took it, the wind was blowing and the flower moved from where I wanted it...but I'm so glad that I didn't delete it. When I got it onto the computer, the sharp detail of it was amazing!
I love taking the time in our busy life to stop and capture the beauty that surrounds us...there is so much beauty in the world...

aww.. what fun photos! Isn't it wonderful that our men like to do stuff like this with us/ for us?? LOVE THAT!!
Wish we had stuff like that here. I just don't think cotton or soybean fields would hold the same appeal...Love the photos, but why didn't Chris jump like you did?
