Close your eyes...can you conjure up an image of what it would look like if a brand new bottle of Karo corn syrup dropped from a shelf onto the floor?
A pretty knarly mess, wouldn't you think?
Then you can understand why a few F*** bombs flew in my kitchen this evening.
By far, the absolute worst mess I've ever had to clean up. Sticky goop everywhere you can imagine. Shattered glass all over the kitchen. A disaster. Thank you to Chris for helping me clean it up while our dinner went cold and gummy.
I needed that Karo syrup for a recipe I was going to make this evening...it's a pot luck tomorrow night for my bosses going away party, and my dessert called for it. So I went to the grocery store to buy more, and you know what?
F*** it. I bought a $4.99 cake with Oreos on top and called it a day.

OH my goodness!!!! Eww, I can just envision the mess that stuff made! I hate it when I get the sticky stuff on my hands much less a full bottle broken all over the kitchen floor!! I think your choice to just buy the store bought cake was perfect after that mess!
