ray of light

So...here's something that you may not know about Chihuahuas...

In a dim room, they will seek out the one beam of sunlight that is sprayed across the carpet, and they will squeeze themselves into that beam...I think they must love the warmth on their skin...makes them think they're back in Mexico! :)

Little Man always does this...his favorite spot in the whole house is in our bathroom, when the morning sun is streaming in. He'll lay there for hours. We thought it was one of his many quirks.

Until we got Ocho. He's the same way. And my book about Chihuahuas even mentions it...it's a quirk of the breed!

The day we got these photos, Ocho played in this sunbeam for quite awhile...he was so content. And looked so adorable illuminated like this...

How can you resist him?? Up twice a night with him? Manic spells of Tazmanian energy? Chewing carpet? P-shaw...he's so dang adorable, he gets away with it all!

And now you know a little quirk that he shares with Little Man...

You know I must point out this is a very cat-like trait!

He is a real cutie!
