Well, tonight we met with the builder of the Lone Star Ranch subdivision...very nice guy, and the new fiance of my coworker. His family has planned the entire neighborhood (about 200 houses when it's all said and done)...there's a community pool and park area...and a grand entrance that I love. In the center is the name of the subdivision...and then on either side, there are these stone walls with these awesome 3D copper sculptures coming out.
He showed us his house, so we could see the inside. The outside is brick and stone together, and the insides were very nice. Three bedroom, 2 bath, mainly. We can pick everything out, and his mom is a designer who would assist us in color choices, which brick to pair with which stone, etc. So that would be helpful, because it is all a little overwhelming!
It's such a NICE neighborhood...has a great feel to it. We've got some time to think about it...decide if this is where we would want to build. First things first...fixing up our house to sell. We're not doing anything else until it sells.
Tomorrow, my friend's husband is coming over to look at what we need done...hopefully he will take on the job and help us out. We would rather give our money to someone we know and love, instead of a stranger!
So, full steam ahead on fixing our house up...and then the rest we can decide later...

that IS a very nice neighborhood! I'm glad to hear that your friends husband is going to come over and look at what work you want/need done around your home. I would feel much better about a friend looking at things then a stranger! I just know this is the thing for you guys to do! It just feels so right, even for me! lol I am so excited about it all.
Very exciting indeed! AND anything you don't want to "bore" us with in your blog, please e-mail to me. I want all the details!
