:: Friday evening, we had a nice dinner out with our friends, Jon and Nadene...they are such a wonderful couple, spending time with them is always enriching. Afterwards, they came over to our house to check out all the work we want done to it before we put it up on the market. They've both got "skillz" that will be helpful to us! We've decided that we're going to have both Jon and Nadene, AND Billy do the work. Nadene can work during the day while we're at work, and then Billy can work in the evenings...double timing here people! Getting it done in half the time...sounds like a good plan to us!
:: Saturday was a crop day! I picked up Kim and we drove to Clyde, which is about 25 minutes away. We spent a lovely day scrapping and doing challenges and eating yummies and I finished Ellery's scrapbook!!!! So now I just need to get all of the pages into the book, and do last minute things to it. Then it's a wrap!
:: Next up, I'll be tackling our Tahiti trip scrapbook...but with all this house stuff, that will probably be back burner for awhile...
:: Stopped Saturday evening to look at a house that is still in the framing stages...it's less money than the other houses we looked into building, and it's bigger with more high-end choices. I'm calling them tomorrow to see if the price is correct, and what else is included with the house.
:: Sunday, I did normal chores like laundry and grocery shopping...Chris got started on removing the wallpaper in our bathroom. We have quite a long list of things to do ourselves, in addition to what we'll be paying to have done to the house. We're going to be busy beavers for quite awhile.
:: I'm addicted to Fla-vor-ice...I have at least two a day...reminds me of being a kid at my Olender grandparent's house...they had a small, separate freezer in their kitchen and every time you closed it, it squealed as it sealed shut...ahh...memories... :)
:: Ever cleaned the grout between your kitchen tiles?? Ours is so discolored from years of being walked on, nothing is working. Tips??? Chris read on the Lowe's website to try water mixed with vinegar...he's attempting it now, we'll see how that goes.
:: I am feeling excited...one of the things we've got to do as we get the house ready to sell is to DECLUTTER our house...I am overjoyed to get started on this! Granted, compared to many houses, ours is relatively clutter-free...we're both "everything has its place" kind of people. Here's the plan...to go through each room, each closet, each drawer...put things into three piles: things to box up to take to our new home; things to sell in a garage sale; and minimal things to leave out on display in the house. Let it BEGIN!!!
Edited to add: The vinegar/water mixture and a wire brush worked WONDERS on our kitchen tile grout!! Holy moly, it's like we've got a whole new floor!!!!!

Had a great time at the crop Saturday. And the drive together is always fun as well!
I'm glad to hear that you will be having Jon & Nadine and Billy work on the house. It sounds like it will work out perfectly that way! And knowing these guys sure makes you feel good. Knowing they have your best interest at heart as well!
You guys are going to be busy bees for a while, but it is will be SOO worth it in the end!
