painting progress and blueprint #2

We've had some progress with the painting of the kitchen this evening...here's a before shot. Notice all the brown paneling on the bottom, and the brown door on the very left (hard to see)...

Here's the same stuff, with white primer on them...he'll finish up the primer tomorrow, and then paint white...

He had to quit before he had everything primed...he was getting drunk off the fumes big time! We actually had to make him stay and talk to us awhile so he could sober up! Quite powerful paint! Luckily the rest of the house doesn't smell that bad...of course, he did have his whole head in the cabinet, that could be part of it... :)

Next topic: this morning Chris went and picked up our second round blueprint...

Just a few minor changes were made...and we drew in fans and lighting...and we flipped the plan so the driveway is on the left...and they drew up the elevation so we could see what the front would look like.

Minor changes looked good...the flip looks good...the elevation looked boring. Mainly because they didn't draw in the stoned arch entry over the front porch, even though we sent them a huge picture to show what we wanted. So we'll need to work on the elevation...

And we're still having issues with the other two bedrooms and the second bath. We want to fit walk-in closets in there somehow for them, and things will need to change for that to happen. I spent some time today, drawing on top of the blueprint. We'll figure something out...

More changes...then onto Round 3!

WOW! that is going to look awesome when all is done! Oh my goodness. Poor Jon. Good thing you guys kept him there until he sobered up. I bet a cop really wouldn't have believed the story of just being drunk on paint fumes. lol
