packed weekend

:: Friday was Boss' Day, and we took our fearless leader, Jeff, out to lunch at Szchuans...it was yummy! We reserved the private back room, and I think he was really excited that we treated him. And little did I know, my graphic designers had worked up a little Boss' Day treat for me too! They gave me a very sweet card, and a 12x12 scrapbook album! So sweet, I was touched.

:: Friday evening, we had Casa Herara with some friends, and then we picked up a big plastic container so that we can begin to recycle all our plastic bottles. It was really weighing on me lately, so I thought we really needed to get started on this. We go through at least one 30 count case of water a week, lot of milk, 5 3-liters of dt. coke, gatorade, vitamin water, you name it. I feel so much better now, more GREEN!

:: Saturday I hosted the monthly scrapbook crop for our group and I had such a good time with the girls. We had a small group (4 for most of the day, and one additional for a short time)...I was able to get 28 pages completed, I'm not sure how. That seems like a lot to even me! Need to finish up some journaling on a few of them, and they are pretty basic and simple...but that's me! I made my grandma's homemade mac and cheese for lunch, and I did something extremely uncharastic for me...I doctored up the recipe and came up with slightly different all on my own! I added a third kind of cheese, and then sauteed up some ham and mushrooms to add in. Mmmm. My family loved it so I will be making it again. I think the girls liked it too.

:: Saturday evening was spent cleaning the house for our Open House on Sunday...and then grocery shopping. All I can say is that it is amazing that I got out of there without killing someone. BLAH!!!

:: Sunday, our class at church as really good, and the preacher's message was right on as well. Loved the song worship today, it's my favorite part...then we left the house for two hours while the Open House took place. Apparently we had about 10 people, and a few showed interest. One was possibly there for the second time. So, we wait and we see.
