:: Friday evening, Aspen went to the high school football game, so Chris and I were able to have a date night! I always relish the times when I have Chris all to myself :) We had dinner at Cotton Patch and enjoyed some good conversation while we watched some of the Rangers/Yankees game. From there, Chris said, "Baby, in honor of date night, I'm going to take you to Target!" Ha! We spent a little time there and then headed home to watch the last few innings of the game. It has been pretty exciting for all us Texans to watch the Rangers pull out a championship...first time they've ever been to the playoffs, and certainly the first time they've been to the World Series. Very, very cool.
:: Saturday, after Chris ran and I did my P90X workout, we went and ran a few errands. I had to get my diamond ring looked at because the stone was loose. The jeweler fixed me right up. From there, we hit a few Halloween stores in search of some items for my Halloween costume. I don't typically dress up, but my department at work is going to do a group effort. Should be interesting!! I also found a new pair of black pumps for work. My current pair is literally falling apart, so it was time. We are on a tight budget lately, so there's been no shopping. But, I did some baby announcements for a coworker, and was able to spend my earnings on some shoes! Woot woot! They are the Nurture brand, similar to Clarks or Born or Sofft...very comfy inside.
:: We are currently in the "8 day option" period on a contract on our house. They signed the papers on Friday, so they have until this coming Friday at midnight to back out. Hopefully that won't be happening, and we can forge ahead with the packing and figuring out where to live for six months while our new home is being built! There is an inspection on Tuesday, hopefully that goes great. We spent a good part of Sunday cleaning house, fixing a few odd repairs, tightening things, etc.
:: Tomorrow, we'll be leaving work at 11:00 to head to Brownwood for the District Cross Country meet. Should be interesting. Only the top few girls head on to the next round at Regionals. I believe the top team goes as well, so there is that option. Chris and I will head back to work once the meet is over, and should hopefully only have to use a few hours of our personal time.
:: Time to relax after a long weekend...hope you all have a great week ahead!!
