Saturday, we finally got the grill that came with our house! We had to order it from Lowes, and it was ready for pick up this weekend. Neeley and his trusty trailer helped Chris bring it home...

This grill is massive! It is the granddaddy of all grills, can cook up to 65 burgers at once. Has burners and a griddle and a steamer. It's just insane. It took five burly men to lift it onto the trailer at Lowes while all the men passed by with their mouths open and drool coming out :)

Chris and Neeley were able to remove it from the trailer just fine, and thankfully it had wheels! They wheeled it right into place.

After a difficult task, the men like to sit and enjoy the fruits of their labor! :) We fired her up and had a little get together with friends that evening, which turned out to be so nice! Neeley and Kim and her lovely family...it was nice to have our first little party at the house. One of the reasons we got the house is that we wanted to entertain more. The first one is under our belt and I am already looking forward to the next few years filled with friends...

During the day, while Chris and Neeley were doing manly things, Kim came over to scrapbook with me in my new room! We broke it in nicely, and had a productive time. This is exactly what I envisioned with this table...spending the day across from a dear friend, doing exactly what we both love!!
It was a great day, altogether...
It actually started early, with a 7:00 a.m. ride/run. We did 15 miles and had a good time together. It was super windy, but at least it was early enough that the heat didn't kill us. With the wind being so bad, it can become quite maddening on the bike...so Chris challenged me to stop and take pictures along the way. Now, that was a fun idea!!! I really enjoyed that. I wanted to share a few below!

Old turquoise truck in the middle of a field. This is right next door to a house that, I swear, reminds me of Texas Chainsaw Massacre...I always try to ride by as fast as I can!

Me, in my bikeriding glory. I'm the pack mule, with the water bottle, and the little black case is full of extra water, gatorade, and energy food.

This was the highlight of the whole trip...my little donkey friend!! He didn't want to come over at first, but gradually he made his way over for us to pet him. He was a cutie. Me and my donkeys. Love them.
