snapshots from our retreat

I didn't take many photos during our retreat...guess that means I was busy working on pages! But, I did snap a few, and wanted to share them here with you!


This is a shot of our mess! We moved the couches out to the side walls, and were able to put four long tables together in the middle. Worked out perfectly and we had plenty of room.

At one point, Chris came in and asked if anyone was NOT afraid of turtles...one had gotten into our garage, and we needed to get it out. He wasn't going to reach down and pick it up! Pam was up for the challenge, no problem! We marched outside (I grabbed the camera on the way!) and we found the turtle burrowed in a corner against a box. Pam reached right down into the corner and picked him up! He hissed at her quite a bit, but she got him to the safety of the grass far from the house! Our hero!!!! He was a pretty big fellow, and contrary to popular belief (at least MY belief), that sucker could move fast!!

And this photo was also Pam's idea...this was our lunch Sunday, taco salads. We thought it was interesting how different each plate was, using the same ingredients. It was delicious! Mine is in the bottom left corner...

Since the retreat, I have been spending a little time when I can, pulling things out into theme collections. I think this might make things a little easier, when I am looking for particular themes. It will help to have it all right there together. That way I won't miss anything, and I might actually use some of this stuff I have had forever!!!
