christmas!!

:: Happy Christmas Eve!!!! 

:: We were off work today and that was soooo nice. We have never gotten Christmas Eve off before, so it was a treat. I slept a little late, and had some breakfast. Then we worked on putting together a puzzle! :) I don't know if we have ever done that as a family, but it's addictive!! Trying to find the next piece! Chris ran five miles, and I rode my bike with him. And then I made up some snacks and we enjoyed a fun meal together. The rest of our relaxing evening is going to include the Wii, and Hip Hop Dance on the Wii...

:: I promised to give some details on the Christmas party...haven't been online since then, so here I am!! We got there at 6:30, and mingled with everyone for awhile. Stood in line to get our professional photo taken, and also a photo with our respective departments as well. Then we found our table and got some food. There was a traditional Christmas meal, including turkey stuffed with dressing, ham, greenbeans, au gratin potatoes, and mixed veggies. Bread pudding for dessert, which Chris loved! Then Kris got on the stage and announced that we are no longer doing an employee of the year award or a salesperson of the year award...and that we would be enjoying a program about the real meaning of Christmas. His pastor from his church gave a very nice talk about the symbols of Christmas (tree, outdoor lights, gifts, etc) and how they all point to Jesus...and how Christmas should be celebrated year round....because without Jesus' birth, there would be no crucifiction or resurrection. After that, we all lit candles and sang Silent Night together...and then Kris announced that he was gifting each of us $250 to bless someone this holiday season. Chris and I will have to pray about how to use our blessing money this year...
