moving through crazy week

:: Well, I wasn't disappointed in The Voice, but I wasn't exactly excited either. I think Cassadee has a great voice and I think that she will do great in the pop genre. I just love Nicholas though for his uniqueness, and Terry too. I will definitely buy whatever cd Nicholas puts out, and probably Terry's too. It was a pretty good finale, though I thought Avril looked drunk. And less than thrilled to be there. Will be different next season with Shakira and Usher...and two of the same. I think they probably should have done 4 new ones while the other 4 took a break. The chemistry will be odd. But we shall see.

:: Today we spent the morning listening to a guest speaker named John Miller. You can google QBQ John Miller and see what he is all about. It was a good morning, and then we had lunch together before heading to work. The afternoon was fine, just making sure all the loose ends are tied up for the company-wide meeting tomorrow and the party. So much goes into both, lots of details and planning. We in marketing know everything, and the rest of the company just has no idea how much work it is!! Here's to hoping that it all goes off without a hitch tomorrow, from 7:30 am to midnight!!

:: More and more Christmas cards arriving everyday, love that!!! And getting some cute gifts from coworkers too. Tis the season. The office is full of treats and sweets and junk and I have not had a single bit. I may enjoy some treats on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but that is it, and in moderation. I've lost about 5 pounds so far, just cutting out the junk and sweets and candy and eating as healthy as possible. Sill not exactly clean yet, but I will get there. I'm feeling good!!

:: My aunt Karen sent me the cutest old fashioned donkey Christmas ornament!!!! I was so thrilled when I opened it!! It has a little tag on it that says this: the donkey signifies patience, courage, meekness and gentleness. According to Christian legend, donkeys originally had unmarked hides but after Palm Sunday, when Jesus rode into Jerusalem on the back of a kind donkey, they all received the mark of the cross on their back as a reminder of their service. My favorite donkey Elvis has this cross mark!!! I'm not sure that all really do, but Elvis does :) He is my new favorite ornament for sure!

:: Today is Poppy's birthday! She is two years old...so crazy that we have had her for two years! She is the sweetest dog I have ever known...but also the biggest heathen I have ever known at the same time!! She is a piece of work and brings delight to us everyday. So glad we stopped to see her at the flea market and just had to take her home...
