So here I am, with more trip details... :)
On our second day in Israel, we started off with the Caesarea National Park. This was an area that was built by Herod the Great...he apparently was a cruel man, but had amazing ideas in architecture.

In front of the Caesarea entrance. |
This was Herod's huge theater...the design allowed for stage actors and singers to be heard clearly without microphones. |
Chris on the theater steps, with the Mediterranean behind him. |
Me, on the theater steps. |
During the days of Herod, there would be chariot races along this "race track". |
Us with the track behind us. |
This is our amazing tour guide, Yuval! We loved him -- the amount of knowledge he has is immense! |
The Mediterranean Sea at Herod's port, just gorgeous! |
Some sights along the way, from the bus. This was a typical housing area along the Mediterranean coast. |
A little graffiti along the way...Chris loves graffiti! |
And to close it out, here is a beautiful scene along the coast. |
This was just the first part of this second day...still to go is Mt. Carmel/Valley of Armageddon and Megiddo.
