:: Rainy rainy day here...we desperately need the rain, for sure. It sure does make it difficult with the wet/muddy dogs though :)
:: Today, Chris had his first wound care visit. I took him and filled out his paperwork for him. They removed the splint and the gauze -- it was a chore for the nurse, because the blood was caked on and stuck pretty well to the wound and stitches. Once cleaned, the doctor came and checked him out - he said, wound-wise, it looks pretty good. In just the time from the ER, it is healing up pretty nicely. He is probably going to lose his thumb nail (maybe a few times) and they'll see how the nail bed heals. But the gash is looking good. It doesn't look as crooked either, so that seems to be healing too. They redressed the wound, and wrapped it up. Then we headed to the rehab place to have a custom splint created for his thumb. That took awhile too, but he is all fixed up with a splint just for him. He goes back to wound care on Friday afternoon.
:: Aspen had her second interview at Olive Garden this afternoon, and she GOT THE JOB!!! She came to see us at work afterwards and is super excited! They are going to train her after we return from our family vacation the first week of August, and then she can start working the shifts they give her. We think it will be great experience for her, being in the real world with a real boss. She will learn a lot. She will also be able to continue her current nanny job, so even better!
:: My two Israel albums were delivered on Saturday and they look AMAZING!!!!!! I am so very pleased with both of them. Thrilled that they are done and thrilled that they turned out so well. Yay!!! At the retreat, I did a separate scrapbook that has all of the brochures, booklets, tickets, receipts, etc (ephemera) from the trip. Israel is done!!! Can't wait to show them off!
:: The retreat was a lot of fun! It was at our house on Saturday and Sunday, and we all accomplished a lot! I was able to get 20 pages done, and also that ephemera Israel book that I mentioned above. I made lunch for the girls, and Moses came to visit for a few hours. Had to make a trip to Walgreens on Sunday...so there was some time where I was pulled away. But it was still a great weekend! Now I am looking forward to our Scrap Day event in November :) We really enjoyed that last year. Can't wait!
:: Guess that's all I've got! More tomorrow!
