:: Have you seen that Geiko commercial with the camel?? :) It's Hump Day!
:: I'm enjoying the last of my strawberry sorbet that I made. Mmm mm so good! Will need to make another batch, it's such a nice healthy treat!
:: It is still pouring rain here. I think we have gotten at least 5-6 inches in three days. That is a lot of rain for us, especially in July. This is not fun with two dogs! :( This evening was odd. It wasn't raining, so I took Poppy out to go potty. She was smelling around, and we both heard a weird sound coming from the far off trees. We stood there and looked for a second, and then I could actually see the rain coming our way. I scooped her up and hightailed it inside, and as soon as I closed the door, the downpour began! Insane. I've never seen rain come on like that. I'm ready for it to stop. Enough! The grass and trees sure are liking it though!
:: Have to get to work a little early tomorrow, we've got VIPS at 8:15.
:: Chris is doing well. He goes back to wound care on Friday. The pain level is manageable, and is more of a throbbing pain. The nail bed gives him some shooting pains, so we are curious when the nail will fall off. Yikes. He is being a trooper!
:: Aspen's birthday is coming up next Monday! She has requested some kind of cinnamon roll dessert instead of a birthday cake, so I did some research and polling of coworkers today. I have three recipes to choose from and will have to share the one I pick, if it's good! Hard to believe she's going to be 17. Time is flying by.
:: Speaking of flying by -- today she went and had her senior photos taken for the yearbook! Cap and gown photos and the one where they drape the black "dress" across the shoulders. Insane. We are also doing an ad of her and Bailey, for the football program. "Senior Year" stuff has already started and it's only July! :)
:: I preordered the new A Beautiful Mess book and can't wait to get it mid August!!! A Beautiful Mess is my favorite blog, and their book promises to be inspiring and creative. So excited!!!
:: Guess that is all I've got...
